Care Instructions

Apparel

Machine wash in cold water and drip dry all André salon capes, gowns, aprons, vests and jackets. Do not machine dry or iron.

Note: Fasten VELCRO® before washing. Do not wash towels with items that have VELCRO® closures.

Electrical: Hair Dryer

The dryer is virtually maintenance free; no lubrication is needed. Keep heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt and styling products. If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the hair dryer from the power source and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Snap or twist off the filter and use a small brush to remove any dust, lint or hair; the filter easily snaps or twists back into place.

To burn off any hair caught inside the dryer, turn dryer on high speed/high heat and place hand over the filter for 5 seconds. After removing hand, burning hair may blow from the dryer barrel. CAUTION: blocking the air filter for more than 5 seconds may lead to overheating.

When not in use, unplug the dryer. Allow the appliance to cool and store it out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord around the appliance because this will cause the cord to wear prematurely.

Electrical: Flat Iron, Curling Iron and Marcel Curling Iron

The iron is virtually maintenance free. No lubrication is needed. Keep heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt and styling products. If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the iron from the power source and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.

When not in use, unplug the iron. Allow the appliance to cool and store out it of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord around the appliance because this will cause the cord to wear prematurely.

Shears

Regular cleaning, tension adjustment, and sharpening will keep shears working well.

To clean shears: wipe shear blades with a soft, dry cloth. Put a drop of oil between the blades and behind the set screw. Open and close the shears several times to work the oil into the pivot joint. The oil and movement will draw out debris that has become lodged in the pivot. Wipe the blades clean.
